Treatment of cancer in Turkey will become free!
The Turkish government announced that as part of a major health care reform in the country aimed for improving the health of millions of people, cancer treatment and all kinds of surgical operations will be free for all citizens in all hospitals.
The Turkish government keeps its word making certain amendments to the provision of health insurance during the treatment of cancer.
Such a decision will impose an additional burden of 750 million Turkish lira (132,508,800 million euro) per year on social insurance funds which cover medical expenses throughout the country.
The government will increase by 200% on payments to private hospitals to cover the costs of cancer treatment for all citizens of the country.
